Since they took control of the Congress in 2006 and the White House in 2008 we have gone from under 5% unemployment to 10%. The Dow Jones is still off about 4000 points and now unemployment rates are dropping because people are GIVING UP!!!

What the HELL IS GOING ON!!!. Could we pay Congress and the President 2 trillion to just meet once (mandated in the Constitution) a stay home the rest of the year.

Anyone care to ask why Obama and the Dems beat the "to lower the debt we have to FIX health care" drum? I'll tell you why, we have almost $75 trillion dollars in unfunded Medicare liabilities. We need more people paying the government (being taxed) for health care even if they wouldn't see any "benefits" for 4 years.

Here the the big budget items:
$757 Billion on Medicare and Medicaid
$680 Billion on Social Security
$660 Billion on Defense
$388 Billion on the Interest on our Debt
$189 Billion on Federal Pensions
$20 Billion on Earmarks
source: usdebtclock.org

Anyone feel like adding a new government program with a debt to GDP ratio of 87% ???

TEXANS!!! context, the government may impose restrictions on certain disfavored
speakers," and "The government may regulate corporate speech
through disclaimer and disclosure requirements, but it may not suppress
that speech altogether." The left would have you believe that this will corporations buying congressman and women. I would suggest that one has little to do with the other. Corporations can buy congress by creating PAC's (political action committees) right now without breaking any laws. Congress can make any law and punish whatever business it wants and the business should lay down and take it? Businesses can't vote, so how else can they speak out against or for a congress person who is instep with that companies best interest?

Here is what the 1st amendment says:

Amendment I

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of
speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to
assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

It doesn't say only people or just voters or anything of the sort. If you owned a widget business, and congress may enact the "Outlaw all widget" Act, I think the workers at your business may want to keep the jobs they have and keep the business open.

This also would include Unions, so it's not all good...

Massachusetts goes from blue to Brown.

1 year after electing the most liberal President since FDR Massachusetts (LBJ was not elected) and months after Senator Edward Kennedy passed away, a Republican wins the senate seat. Making up a 30 point hole in the poles and winning by 5 in just over a month. For me personally this came out of nowhere, but after the senate passed a Trillion plus dollar health care destruction bill and the house rammed through a similarly ugly pyramid scheme I can't say I'm shocked. I'm guessing that after November the senate will look more 50/50 than 60/40.

The loss could end up being the best thing for some Democrats. Democrats in red or purple states may now have the political cover to NOT vote themselves out of office. While it's tempting to wish Democrats out of office I would rather our country not suffer through more Western European style government. I would actually like a good stalemate. I prefer NOTHING get done in Washington, because more laws often mean less freedom.

Coakley's campaign knocked down reporters, but didn't land a punch on Brown's campaign election night.

Do I have faith in Republicans to not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory??? No, Republicans can be just has willing to spend themselves out of office. I could really care less about the Republican party, but right now it's the only possible home of conservatism.

Is Scott Brown a conservative??? He is pro-abortion, strong on defense, talks fiscally responsible, pro-gun, pro-death penalty, wishy-washy on global warming, and against both government run health care and cap and trade.

Considering our choices.... I'll take it.

Thank You Massachusetts!!!

Windows 7 Whopper???

Hat tip to Engadget.

Does this thing come with bypass surgery?

WINDOWS 7 IS HERE!!!

He talked about people doing what they do best and taking responsibility for your own actions. I wish he governed this way, lead this way, and thought this way. I would vote for him... BUT, he doesn't think this way. All of his actions and people who he surrounds himself with.

Sometimes it's what you don't say though.
"Maybe you don’t have adults in your
life who give you the support that you need. Maybe someone in your
family has lost their job, and there’s not enough money to go
around. Maybe you live in a neighborhood where you don’t feel safe, or
have friends who are pressuring you to do things you know aren’t right.

But at the end of the day, the
circumstances of your life – what you look like, where you come from,
how much money you have, what you’ve got going on at home – that’s no
excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude. That’s no
excuse for talking back to your teacher, or cutting class, or dropping
out of school. That’s no excuse for not trying.

Where you are right now doesn’t have
to determine where you’ll end up. No one’s written your destiny for
you. Here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own
future."

From Obama's speech to students on 9/8/2009

As a parent I know I'm the most important person in my kids lives, but I'm not with them in school. Why aren't bad teachers mentioned? Is he saying they are not to blame for kids not learning? No bad schools or teachers... Just rough neighborhoods and bad parents.

Quote of the day...

"If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, and are the sole and supreme judges of the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every State, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasury; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume the provision of the poor; they may undertake the regulation of all roads other than post-roads; in short, every thing, from the highest object of state legislation down to the most minute object of police, would be thrown under the power of Congress.... Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for, it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America."

James Madison.
Father of the Constitution and Author of the Bill Of Rights.

Since James Madison has been dead for over 200 years, I'm guessing that our elected officials have been ignoring direct statements like this on the "general welfare" clause in Article 1 Section 8 in our constitution. Let's not stop at politicians, as teachers have also been dancing around this quote.

We have all lost the freedoms fought for in 1776 and we may never get them back.

Obama-Bot (MoveOn.org member) bites Pro-freedom protester

As reported by KTLA a 65 year old man attending a protest OF the the MoveOn.org Pro-ObamaCare rally had is finger bitten OFF. Yup... Off. I have heard different stories about how it started, but all stories have these facts in common.

The 65 yr old man was approached by a MoveOn.org member and proceeded to get in the 65 yr old's face. The 65 yr old punched the MoveOn.org member, The MoveOn.org member then bit off the 65 yr old man's finger. The 65 yr old man had his finger reattached and is and has been released.

One report has the MoveOn.org nut crossing the street and targeted the older man. He was menacing over the man and the man simply felt threatened and punched him. Another account (which I don't believe) have the MoveOn.org nut just trying to get to the protest when he was attacked by the 65 yr old man...

If you believe the 2nd account, I have a health care plan with a public option that is budget neutral and is better than any private option to sell you.
Laugh, It's just CNN
