Massachusetts goes from blue to Brown.

1 year after electing the most liberal President since FDR Massachusetts (LBJ was not elected) and months after Senator Edward Kennedy passed away, a Republican wins the senate seat. Making up a 30 point hole in the poles and winning by 5 in just over a month. For me personally this came out of nowhere, but after the senate passed a Trillion plus dollar health care destruction bill and the house rammed through a similarly ugly pyramid scheme I can't say I'm shocked. I'm guessing that after November the senate will look more 50/50 than 60/40.

The loss could end up being the best thing for some Democrats. Democrats in red or purple states may now have the political cover to NOT vote themselves out of office. While it's tempting to wish Democrats out of office I would rather our country not suffer through more Western European style government. I would actually like a good stalemate. I prefer NOTHING get done in Washington, because more laws often mean less freedom.

Coakley's campaign knocked down reporters, but didn't land a punch on Brown's campaign election night.

Do I have faith in Republicans to not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory??? No, Republicans can be just has willing to spend themselves out of office. I could really care less about the Republican party, but right now it's the only possible home of conservatism.

Is Scott Brown a conservative??? He is pro-abortion, strong on defense, talks fiscally responsible, pro-gun, pro-death penalty, wishy-washy on global warming, and against both government run health care and cap and trade.

Considering our choices.... I'll take it.

Thank You Massachusetts!!!
